Promotional Efforts Again Vie for National Recognition

For the second year in succession, a city campaign is a finalist in a competition that highlights the best in promotional media among Polish cities and regions.
The Golden Formats competition is part of the Promotion of Cities and Regions Festival – the biggest such dedicated event in Europe. Last year, Szczecin’s promotion of the Tall Ships Races finale, hosted by the city in 2007, earned a PLN100,000 prize in the second edition of what has become an annual event.

Organized by Ströer Grup, Poland’s second-largest outdoor media concern, the competition recognizes the best projects that serve to promote cities and regions in five categories. The city’s Floating Garden 2050 campaign received positive reviews in the event category and the same project is vying for the overall title of best promotional campaign.

The high level of quality of the projects that Szczecin presented to the jury is proof that promotion in Polish cities and regions is developing dynamically, said Janusz Malinowski, chairman of Ströer Grup in Poland. Strategic ways of thinking can be seen in these campaigns. In our opinion, for most of the presented projects, the inspiration was knowledge taken from previous editions of the Festival. We are glad, as well, that so many cities took part in this competition for the third time.
