The Festival of Cities Has Ended
The largest and most prominent festival promoting cities and regions was organised for the 4th time on 21-22 April 2010 in Warsaw. One of the awards went to Szczecin.
We were also introduced to the winners of the Złote Formaty (in English: Golden Formats) competition, organised by the Ströer Group, as part of the Cities and Regions Promotion Festival. 173 projects were submitted by 75 cities and regions for this year’s fourth competition, including 53 projects in the Publicity Press category, 25 in the Outdoor Campaign category, 19 in the On-line Campaign category, 64 in the Event category, and 12 in the Festival Publicity Activity Grand Prix category.
The first prizes in these five categories went to Ruda Śląska, Poznań, Stary Sącz, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, and Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship.
Szczecin received an award in the On-line Campaign category for “The Design for Szczecin” for its web-based promotion of the competition for designing a fabric to cover the seats in urban buses and trams.
Let us remind you that last year Szczecin came from Warsaw with three prizes. It received an award for the Floating Garden 2050 Brand Strategy, the second prize in the Event category, and a silver Grand Prix in the prestigious Publicity Activity category. A special award was also given by the Elle monthly magazine.
