  • 2009: Award in the ranking of The Most Business Friendly Cities by Forbes
  • 2009: The City of Szczecin was ranked fourth in the service quality survey (mystery shopping method) by the Millward Brown SMG/KRC Institute commissioned by Gazeta Wyborcza.
  • 2009: 2nd place at Cities and Regions Promotion Festival in categories:
    • 'Public Relations’ for the Floating Garden 2050 project,
    • 'Event’ for presenting the new brand of the city.
  • 2008: Award of "Brief" Magazine for "Marketing of Locations".
  • 2008: "Gold Format" by Stroer at the Cities Promotion Festival, category "Promotional Event", The Tall Ships’ Races 2007.
  • 2008: The City of Szczecin was 1st at a competition for ‘The best lit municipality and city of 2008’ among cities and municipalities exceeding 70 thousand inhabitants. The award in category ‘Lighting of specific location or facility’ for illuminating the Long Bridge and the Castle Route. The awards were presented to the City during the LIGHT 2009 Fair, at the final of the competition on 23rd of March 2009 in Warsaw. In its category the City was ranked the 1st together with Toruń. The award was granted by the Association of Employers of Warsaw and Mazowsze Region, Polish Association of Manufacturers and Employers of the Lighting Industry and Gazeta Samorządu i Administracji (Local Government and Administration Magazine). Investment projects awarded were implemented as a part of city preparation to the Tall Ships Races 2007.
  • 2008: Other awards include positive rating for the City of 1998. In 2008, Fitch Ratings enhanced Szczecin’s rating to BBB+. The rating assigned is the recognition of prudent financial management in the City.
  • 2007: Award in the Plot First Rate competition organised by the Polish Agency of Information and Foreign Investment for the plot situated at Cukrowa Street.
    • 2007: The City of Szczecin was awarded in the 3rd stage of PZITB ‘Project of the Year 2006’ Competition for rebuilding of B. Krzywoustego Street and beginning at T. Kościuszko Square in Szczecin.
