RULES OF USING SZCZECIN'S TRADEMARKS FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES

The use of Szczecin's trademarks for commercial purposes requires obtaining a relevant consent and signing a licence or sublicence agreement.

A WRITTEN APPLICATION SHOULD BE FILED

In order to be able to use the City’s trademarks for commercial purposes you should file a written application.

The application should be submitted at the Post Office mailroom of the Customer Service Office, by post to the address: Biuro Prezydenta Miasta pl. Armii Krajowej 1, 70-456 Szczecin or via electronic mail: marka@szczecin.eu.

The application should contain information on the planned commercial activity for which the given trademark will be used. In order to apply for a licence or sublicence, you should include in the documentation, i.a.:

• documents authorising the entity to sign the agreement (current extract from the National Court Register, powers of attorney, if applicable),

• graphic visualisations of the goods, including the city’s logotypes, with information on technical and quality parameters,

• financial plan specifying expected revenues from sales and planned expenditures and unit prices.

The provision of access to trademarks identifying the Szczecin Municipality for commercial purposes is subject to a charge.

CONSIDERING THE APPLICATION

The application will be considered within 30 days of the date of submitting all the required documents at the Post Office mailroom of the Customer Service Office, by post to the address Biuro Prezydenta Miasta pl. Armii Krajowej 1, 70-456 Szczecin or via electronic mail: marka@szczecin.eu.

RULES OF USING SZCZECIN'S TRADEMARKS FOR NON-COMMERCIAL PURPOSES

The use of Szczecin's trademarks for commercial purposes requires a relevant consent in the form of a licence or sublicence.

A WRITTEN APPLICATION SHOULD BE FILED

In order to be able to use the City’s trademarks for non-commercial purposes (e.g. due to organising artistic or sports events, concerts, performances, social campaigns, etc., also those covered by the City’s sponsorship or Patronage of the Mayor), you should file a written application.

The application should be submitted at the Post Office mailroom of the Customer Service Office, by post to the address: Biuro Prezydenta Miasta pl. Armii Krajowej 1, 70-456 Szczecin or via electronic mail: marka@szczecin.eu.

It should be mentioned that applications should also be filed by entities organising events with the support of the City Office (sponsorship agreement, promotion agreement, etc.), which are also contractually obligated to include Szczecin’s trademarks in the materials promoting the event.

The application should contain the details of the applicant, the description of the event, and specify the type of cooperation. The document should also state the types of promotion of the event with the use of the City’s trademarks.

Graphic visualisation of the way logotypes are going to be used should be appended to the application. After receiving the logotype from the Mayor’s Office, the applicant is obligated to submit for approval each design containing the received City's logotype.

The provision of access to trademarks identifying the Szczecin Municipality for non-commercial purposes is free of charge.
