The Netcamp Foundation invites all to the second edition of the Polish-German Startup Weekend, which will take place on 23-25 October in Szczecin. This event will bring together creative people who will be setting up innovative projects with the assistance of experienced mentors.
Startup Weekend involves three-day workshops for people interested in conducting businesses which rely on technologies and cutting-edge solutions. It is a reliable and international form of events backed by Google for Entrepreneurs and a well-known Techstars accelerator. It is also the biggest global startup society. So far nearly 120,000 Startup Weekend participants have created over 13,000 projects.
During this event you can learn how to develop a business model, take a mentor's advice or find out about the method of presenting your own startup to investors. The winner of the previous Startup Weekend edition in Szczecin had leveraged several hundred thousand Euros from an investor in Berlin after only 6 months, owing to which he could continue with his project.
Registration for Startup Weekend in Szczecin is now open. Discounted tickets could be obtained on http://www.startupweekend.pl until 16 October. The organisers invite participants from Poland and Germany - marketing/business planners and specialists, and graphic designers. The language of the workshops and presentations is English.
Startup Weekend will begin with presentations by several guests who will share their experiences in creating startups. After that, you will have 1 minute to present your idea for a startup and to convince others about it. After selecting the most interesting projects, project teams will be established and the actual work will begin. During this weekend, the teams will be developing their startups together with experienced mentors. To conclude, the final presentations of startups will be made to the jury and investors, who will choose the best projects.
The organisers of Startup Weekend Szczecin include the Foundation of Internet Industry Development "Netcamp" and Technopark Pomerania, where the event will take place. The main Partner of the workshops is the Westpomeranian Business School. The sponsors are the Szczecin Municipal Government Office, Consileon and Aviva. The winners of Startup Weekend will be presented with awards, which will facilitate their further development of projects and promotion in the media.
