The tourist season in full

The tourists are coming to Szczecin by water, by road and by air, on floating units, by cars, trains, and planes. Splendid events as well as the unique charm of the capital of the Western Pomerania attract them to our city.
Many tourists have come to Szczecin because of the June Sea Days or the July Festival "Spoiwa Kultury". The city also expects many guests during the August Fireworks Festival. Tourist Information Points are waiting for the visitors to Szczecin where you can get the most vital information on events, and on the interesting and magical places in our city. At these points you can also get a tourist card which together with the Municipal Tourist Route can constitute another tourist attraction to actively spend time in our city. The card allows you to visit places with discounts in some cultural institutions, restaurants, etc. it also authorises you to free-of-charge rides by municipal public transport.
Since 26 July the tourists have been able to get the most needed information in a new, all-year-round open Tourist Information Point (TI) at the Main Railway Station. This is the second point, next to the seasonal TI point at ul. Jana z Kolna, which has been opened within the last three years in our city. Both institutions administratively are subject to the Centre for Tourist Information functioning as a municipal unit of the Municipal Centre of Sport, Recreation and Rehabilitation.
Independently of municipal institutions there is also the Centre for Cultural and Tourist Information in Szczecin at the Pomeranian Duke’s Castle. The basic task of all the TI points is giving free-of-charge advice to tourists coming to Szczecin and selling Szczecin Tourist Cards and local souvenirs. This year about 3 thousand of tourists from all over the world have taken advantage of the services of TI points.
A new TI point is legibly marked with the symbol < i > and the logo FG 2050 pursuant to the promotional policy of the Floating Garden. A trained employee speaking English and German will attend to tourists in the modern interior. The employee’s tasks will include, among other things, distribution of free-of-charge promotional materials handed in by the commune. The working hours of the new TI point are as follows:
• in the summer season (V- IX), Mon-Sat 8.00-20.00 and Sun 8.00-16.00
• outside the summer season (X-IV), Mon-Fri 8.00-18.00 and Sat, Sun 8.00-15.00
