Szczecin tall ships at the head of The Tall Ships Races
After difficult and exhausting fight "Dar Szczecina" and "Fryderyk Chopin" got the lead in their classes during the first stage of this year's The Tall Ships Races. Our sailing boats were the fastest over a distance from St. Malo to Lisbon.
"Fryderyk Chopin" is the leader in class A ahead of "Dar Młodzieży" and Russian tall ship "Mir". The first place in class C belongs to "Dar Szczecina" ahead of "ST Iv" and "Juan de Langara".
Next stop is going to be in Cadiz on about 28th.July. The final is in Dublin on 26th.August.
There are 58 tall ships competing this year in TTSR. 44 tall ships were present on a starting list of the first phase from St. Malo to Lisbon.8 out of them are Polish and they include: „Dar Młodzieży”, „F. Chopin”, „Pogoria”, „Kapitan Borchardt”, „Zawisza Czarny” and yachts „Amarant”, „Dar Szczecina” and „Śmiały”.
