Water, greenery and music
The picturesque Oder, Lake Dąbie, Warszewo hills, Arkonian Forest, Lake Głębokie, and Bukowa Forest – these are only some of the reasons why you should visit Szczecin.
Any nature lover will appreciate Szczecin for its greenery and water, as more than 50% of Szczecin area is covered with vegetation and water.
Szczecin is the right city for those who value space and freedom. The inimitable atmosphere of the city, with an almost pastoral peace and no traffic jams, will give you a sense of life at a different pace from any other metropolis.
Some malicious people call Szczecin “a village with trams” but this is far from the truth! Szczecin houses renowned universities, with the number of students estimated at 70,000. It is also home to an Opera House, Concert Hall, a number of Theatres, and the world’s oldest cinema. Szczecin is considered to be the Polish Mecca of jazz, where the greatest jazz stars have given their concerts. The number of festivals and concerts taking place in the city will satisfy even the most demanding music lovers.
Finally, I’d like to mention that Szczecin has preserved its unique atmosphere, distinct urban arrangement and living space where you can lead a comfortable life.
