Thermal solution regarding waste

In 2015 the first municipal waste should be expected to arrive into a modern incinerator. The agreement was signed in Szczecin for financing the project "Construction of Thermal Waste Treatment Plant for the Metropolitan Area".

The agreement was signed in the Office of the Provincial Vice-President of the National Environmental Protection Fund Małgorzta Skucha and CEO of Thermal Waste Treatment Plant Tomasz Lachowicz. The ceremony was also attended by Minister of Environment Stanislaw Gawłowski, governor Marcin Zydorowicz, President of Szczecin Piotr Krzystek, president of the Regional Environmental Protection Fund Jacek Chrzanowski and Western Pomerania parliamentarians.

Szczecin project has received EU funding allocated by the Ministry of Environment under the measure 2.1 . of Operational Programme of Infrastructure and Environment in the amount of 255 million zł. The entire project is estimated slightly over 576 million zł.
