International Cycling Workshop
Standards for construction of bicycle routes, cyclists' safety, creating a cohesive network of routes - these are some of the issues which shall be tackled by the participants in the first international cycling workshop in Szczecin. The workshops began on 12 April and will continue until Wednesday.
The City Hall Office in cooperation with the University of Szczecin, Faculty of Management and Economics of Services, are organizing the first international workshop pertaining to cycling traffic engineering in terms of design, traffic management and spatial development, which will be held in the session hall today and tomorrow from 9:00 to 14:00.
The workshop received support from the European CIVITAS CATALIST initiative. The workshop shall feature presentations mainly by cycling experts from Cracow, Rotterdam (The Netherlands) and Rostock (Germany). Speakers also include representatives from the Bicycle Association of Szczecin as well as “Our Tours” association.
