The crew of “Dar Szczecina” under the command of captain Jerzy Szwoch has already turned up in Hartlepool as the first yacht of the C class (yachts without spinnakers) in the second and last stage of the Tall Ships Races 2010, an international regatta competition.

The first stage of The Tall Ships Races has ended. Dar Szczecina reached Aalborg as the first vessel in its category! The regatta started on 13 July. The first stage was from Antwerp to Aalborg in Denmark, which Dar Szczecina reached as the first vessel in its category.

Antwerp is the first harbour hosting this year's Tall Ships Races. All Szczecin's vessels are in the Belgian port, while the presentation of our town is very successful among the visitors.

As a part of this year’s Days of the Oder, the KaYaK Szczecin Canoeing Association (along with friendly clubs from Police, Goleniów, and Stępnica) is organising a two-day festival of water recreation, which also promotes in Szczecin the international water festival “Big Jump.”
