Availability of transport

Szczecin is a unique place. Its location offers excellent communication and access to mar­kets and supply in Poland, Europe and all over the world.




  • Road and rail connections – excellent connection to the highways of Western Europe and the new express roads and motorways in Poland
  • Water junctions – The Oder Water Route and its connection to the Baltic Sea – a sea port facilitating trade with Western Europe and even with the more remote parts of the world, such as China and Africa. Furthermore, the proximity of a ferry terminal in Świnoujście, offers interconnection as well as cruises to Copenhagen and southern Sweden.
  • International flight connections – Szczecin-Goleniow Airport in distance from Szczecin of 45 minutes by car and airports: Berling Tegel and Berlin Schönefeld, chich will be replaced soon by the largest airport in Europe – Berlin-Brandenburg-Airport (BER), in distance of approx. 1,5h by car.

In Szczecin, you can travel around the city using an efficient bus and tram network comprised of:

  • 76 bus lines
  • 12 tram lines.
