SZCZECIN IS ATTRACTIVE FOR BUSINESS

Business potential of Szczecin was being discussed during the next Forum Gryf Meeting. Professor Andrzej Koźmiński was the guest of the meeting.

The main point of the discussion was looking for the answer what to do to make Szczecin more interesting for global organization's investments. Scientists of Szczecin universities, representatives of economic life, politics and officials took part in the meeting. Debates were proceeded by two lectures. Ireneusz Miski, the Vice President of Tieto Poland, presented his lecture called " Szczecin potentials for foreign investors" and professor Andrzej Koźmiński " What makes the city interesting for global investors?".
Andrzej Koźmiński is a professor of management, the head of Leon Koźmiński Management Academy Department. He is a scholar, lecturer of prestigious universities such UCLA. Washington University, Sorbony.
According to professor Koźmiński, Szczecin is the city full of assets for potential investors. One of them is close distance to Berlin. Another important advantage of Szczecin is its intellectual potential which means a big number of universities and their graduates.

The president of Szczecin who took part in the meeting reminded that the city is becoming more interesting for companies supporting business (BPO). In recent years new BPO centers opened their branches such as UniCredit, Coloplast or Metro Services AG. There will be more of them soon as the city is opening 100 thousand square meters of new office space due to the opening of new offices. They include Swede Center in Brama Portowa, Baltic Business Park in 1 Maja Street, Piastów Office Center in Piastów Street and Lastadia Office in Łasztownia.
