The City’s investment attractiveness can be confirmed by:

  1. The rating by the Fitch Ratings Agency, which, in July 2016, ranked Szczecin at the BBB+ level, recognising its stable financial policies and high standards of municipal financial management.
  2. The functioning of the Szczecin Sub Zone within the Euro Park Mielec Special Economic Zone, which provides investors with an all round management of investment projects, public assistance in the form of exemptions from income tax and reduced costs of business activities.
  3. The City’s support and public assistance include exemptions from real property tax, loan guarantees and loans for entrepreneurs, support for technological progress and innovations, instruments supporting entrepreneurial activities, offered by the District Employment Office in Szczecin.
  4. The “one stop shop” – an efficient investor-assistance system operating at the City Strategy Management Department.
  5. A young and well-educated society – 77% of residents are people of working and pre-working age, and the academic potential comprises about 40 thousand students and over 10 thousand graduates.
  6. A very good knowledge of foreign languages among the residents of Szczecin – over 94% of students declare that they speak English, and about 64% German.
  7. Entrepreneurship in Szczecin – containing one of Poland’s largest numbers of registered enterprises – 1 676 enterprises per 10 000 residents.
  8. An exceptional location – the location of Szczecin ensures excellent connections and access to the sales-and-supply markets countrywide, Europe-wide and worldwide. The seaport constitutes the principal asset of the City.
  9. High office-market potential – about 111 000 m2 of rentable area and around 20 000 m2 of modern office space.
