The Danish medical products giant chooses Szczecin over more than 60 other candidates as the home of its new seven-country financial records processing facility.
Set to open in April, the new center will employ a staff of 50 and service group divisions in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Holland, Belgium and Poland. Coloplast is a world leader in ostomy care, urology care, and the production of specialist dressings and products for wounds and skin care.

Coloplast Shared Services Sp. z o.o. will operate initially from a temporary office in the office building on al. Wojska Polskiego before moving into the Oxigen office building that is under construction on Malczewskiego Street. The company is seeking persons educated in economics and with a good knowledge of accounting. Also, they should possess English and German language skills.
Coloplast was established in 1954 by a nurse, Elise Sorensen,who invented the adhesive ostomy bag while caring for her sistet, and today is listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. Coloplast products are produced in Denmark, Hungary, USA, China and France, and sold worldwide. The company delivers its products to hospitals, as well as to wholesale and retail companies. Sales in the financial year 2008/2009 reached €1.2 billion. Coloplast employs a total number of 7000 people around the world.
