Niepodległości Avenue in the ranking of Cushman & Wakefield
Each year a consulting group Cushman & Wakefield prepares a ranking of the most expensive shopping streets in the world. In the ranking of Polish streets, Szczecin’s Niepodległości Avenue is placed in the top ten.
The Niepodległości Avenue closes the top ten of the most expensive shopping streets in Poland. A square meter in this location costs 33 euroes monthly. The avenue is full of shops and restaurants. At the end of September, the biggest shopping mall in West Pomeranian Voivodeship, “Cascade”, will be opened on the Niepodległości Avenue.
In the ranking of the most expensive shopping streets, the Nowy Świat street in Warsaw topped the Polish ranking, taking the 41st place in the worldwide list. The 2nd place was taken by Floriańska Street in Kraków, with 79 euroes fee for a square meter, pushing Chmielna Street in Warsaw to the 3rd place.
Accordingly to the worldwide ranking, the most expensive streets are: Fifth Avenue in New York, Causeway Bay in Hong Kong and Ginza in Japan.
Cushman & Wakefield, a commercial real estate brokers and consulting group, has been monitoring the rent prices in the main streets for 26 years. “The most expensive shopping streets” report has been published for the 10th time. It compares rent prices in the most important 278 shopping locations in 63 countries.
