„The future of transboundary co-operation after 2013” is the title of debate that will take place on the next Friday. Danuta Hübner, former Chairwoman of the Committee on Regional Development, will take part in this debate.
The transboundary debate will take place for the sixth time. Interlocutors are to meet in the S-1 Studio of Polish Radio Szczecin. This discussion will be the conclusion of the meetings cycle within the transboundary project carried out by the City and Commune of Szczecin and the District of Uecker-Randow. The debate will start at 10 o’clock.
Danuta Hübner, former Chairwoman of the Committee on Regional Development, currently the Chairwoman of the Committee on Regional Development was invited to take part in the discussion. In the discussion will participate also: Piotr Krzystek, Olgierd Geblewicz, Dennis Gutgesell – the vice-starost of Uecker-Randow district, Ursula Brautferger – the representative of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism Department of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. There was also invited the representative of the Ministry of Regional Development of the Republic of Poland.
The aim of debate is to make an attempt to answer the questions about the future shape of the policy of cohesion in the financing period - 2014-2020, with the special consideration on the transboundary co-operation. The discussion will be also an opportunity to confront the expectations of local governments with the stands of ministries and of the European Union.
