EU financial support for investments
Another four agreements for the financing of investments in Szczecin within the Regional Operational Programme were signed on Wednesday by President Piotr Krzystek. Financial support for four projects will amount to nearly PLN 50 million.
Szczecin has received funding for cultural, industrial and improving safety and traffic congestion investments.
The funded projects include:
Providing the necessary technical infrastructure for investment zones in Dunikowo and Trzebusz, destined for industrial and warehousing functions.
The investment is to enhance the investment attractiveness of Szczecin and the surrounding region and improve the business climate and investments in the areas of Dunikowo and Trzebusz in Szczecin.
Duration of the project: 31.01.2011 - 30.03.2013.
Funding from the RPO: PLN 30 million. The total project cost: PLN 73.7 million.
Construction of a traffic management system in Szczecin
The purpose of implementing the system is to increase the flow of traffic in Szczecin and improve the transportation systems in the Szczecin Metropolitan Area.
The total cost of the project: PLN 10.6 million. Financial support will amount to PLN 8.08 million.
Duration of the project: 14.02.2011r. - 30.12.2011.
Art Trafostation Szczecin - preservation and restoration of the old historic transformer building at Św. Ducha street in Szczecin.
The aim of the project is to preserve and protect the material cultural heritage and to upgrade the condition of the historic building (the building was listed as a historic monument in 1984)
The project value is around PLN 20 million. Financial support will amount to PLN 7.24 million.
Duration of the project: 01.04.2011 - 31.07.2012.
Maintenance and restoration of the figural composition of the Sedina monument fountain, along with the renovation of the Tobrucki square.
The project will redesign and reconstruct Tobrucki Square and its historical arrangement. The Sedina monument will also be reconstructed.
The total project cost is PLN 3.6 million. Financial support will amount to PLN 2.7 million.
Duration of the Project: 01.01.2011 - 31.07.2012.
