"Decode Tieto" - a prize goes to a student of the West Pomeranian University of Technology
A nationwide contest “Decode Tieto” for software developers has come to an end. . One of the main prizes went to a student at the West Pomeranian University of Technology.
The contest was organised by the Tieto Poland Corporation. It was part of the “Passion for the Future” campaign, during which the representatives of the company visited several Polish technical universities, informed students about the activities of the company and offered job opportunities. 300 people from all over Poland took part in the contest.
10 people made it to the final. The winners were announced on the 14th Dec during the official ceremony, which took place in Wroclaw.
The winners are
1st prize - Tomasz Richert, Gdańsk University of Technology
2nd prize - Piotr Pacewicz, the West Pomeranian University of Technology
3rd prize - Krzysztof Ropiak, Gdańsk University of Technology
It is worth mentioning that two more students at the West Pomeranian University of Technology, Rafał Rychlicki and Dariusz Rumiński, also made it to the final.
The contest was organised under the patronage of the Mayors of Szczecin and Wroclaw – the headquarters of Tieto Poland. The winner of the contest will be offered a month-long apprenticeship in one of the offices of Tieto Corporation in China or Scandinavia. The 2nd prize winner will receive a high-quality laptop computer with complete software, and the 3rd prize winner will receive a functional smartphone. What’s more, the three best finalists will be offered a paid month-long apprenticeship in one of the Tieto Poland offices and will take part in training organised by the Corporation and will receive the subscription of the Computerworld magazine and a Euro<26 card with full insurance.
