This year 74 candidates applied for the Art Scholarship of the City of Szczecin. Two Scholarship Committees in respect of music and visual arts have chosen 30 laureates, 12 of them representing the visual arts and 18 music.

Among the awarded scholarship holders there are 2 people studying outside Szczecin in the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and Poznań, 4 students of the Higher School of Applied Arts and 2 students of the Academy of Music, Szczecin branch. At the secondary-school level 7 students of the Music School Complex, 1 student of the Social Music School of the II grade and 6 students of the Secondary School of Fine Arts were distinguished. The youngest to be distinguished as scholarship holders were 8 students of music schools of the I grade. The amount of PLN 80 000 was divided among 30 scholarship holders. The lowest scholarship amounts to PLN 1,664, the highest PLN 5,000.

On 10 June 2010 at 5 pm in the Jan Szyrocki Studio S-1 at Polish Radio Szczecin there will be a concert and exhibition of the laureates of the Art Scholarship of the City of Szczecin for the school year 2009/2010.
