An entrepreneur incubator will be established

In spring the first building of the Business Incubator at ul. Niemierzyńska will be commissioned for use. The project has been implemented by the Szczecin Science and Technology Park.
The Szczecin Science and Technology Park, which is a Limited Company owned by the Commune of Szczecin City, aims at supporting the development of young and innovative IT companies. Companies will receive infrastructure and technical support within the framework of training and development projects involving companies being implemented this year
The IT Business Incubator will be established in a former school building at ul. Niemierzyńska and it will be the first building of the planned Pomerania Technology Park. In spring two thousand square metres will be commissioned for use. Apart from the office area with access to broadband Internet, Internet telephony, voIP and the provided voltage network, there will also be conference rooms, a computer room, storage areas and server room. The Szczecin Science and Technology Park will also have its registered office here. Some part of the area will be handed over on favourable conditions to young entrepreneurs from modern technologies and IT businesses.
What is more, the newly-established companies will be supported by the specially-developed incubation programme, which will provide them with advice and training. Furthermore, companies will have opportunities to have consultations with experts and meetings with local enterprises and have their companies incorporated. The Incubator will include newly-established enterprises which have been operating on the market for no longer than two years, as well as enterprises with an established position on the market. The mixed model concerning the functioning of companies in the Incubator is intended to facilitate cooperation on one hand and increase the probability of financial success on the other.
Next to the first building of the IT Business Incubator, the construction of other buildings intended for the centre of innovation and IT companies and for another Business Incubator related to the Pomerania Technology Park will be launched this year. The area of this investment amounts to over 11 thousand sq. m. on the plot with an area of 1.5 ha.
The main purpose of the investment is to establish a centre of modern technologies in Szczecin, which will play a significant role in Poland and Europe.
