The mission of Szczecin’s IT companies to Berlin

At the initiative of information technology companies affiliated in the Group ICT West Pomerania, which want to have more influence on the shape of the IT market, the City Office of Szczecin, in cooperation with z RCIiTT, Szczecin Scientific-Technological Park  and Berlin Partner, invite all IT, ICT, and Healthcare companies based in Szczecin and the region to take part in the economic mission in Berlin.

The departure is scheduled for April (21-22.04.2010), but applications can be submitted from now on. Those interested in participation in the mission are asked to download an application form from www.szczecin.eu/baltic_neopolis/misja_gospodarcza complete it, and e-mail to jslaby@um.szczecin.pl or dkowalczyk@spnt.pl or molan@zut.edu.pl.
When we receive your application , we will contact you to arrange the details concerning the company’s participation in the mission. Participants can expect organisational support (travel and protection during the stay in Berlin) from the City Office of Szczecin and RCIiTT. The cost of accommodation in Berlin will be borne by participants.

The aim and programme of the mission

The visit to Berlin is intended to promote Szczecin as a City of Innovative Technologies, and to facilitate Szczecin companies in establishing contacts with IT, ICT, and Healthcare companies in Berlin.
On the first day (21.04.2010) brokers’ meetings will be held, during which participants will  have a chance to start cooperation with Berlin partners. The brokers’ meetings will be organised by Berlin Partner Gmbh /www.berlin-partner.de/, gathering over 130 reputable  German and international companies cooperating within the Private-Public Partnership with the Berlin Senate. Companies interested in cooperation with  German contractors are welcome to take up joint initiatives, based on proven business contacts and cooperation networks. The Berlin Partner will allow Polish companies to join the business community in Berlin.

The second day (22.04.2010) of the mission will focus on IT companies operating in the health and medical services industry. Entrepreneurs who are willing to learn innovative telematic solutions in the health care system and global trends in this area may take part in Trades on IT in medicine ConhIT Der Branchentreff für Healthcare IT // and brokers’ meetings with potential partners organised on their course.
