The Mayor of Szczecin, Piotr Krzystek, has formally handed over the construction site to the contractor, Eurovia.
Szczecin will soon boast one of the most modern sports and leisure complexes in Europe. The construction of the building belonging to The Sport and Education Centre at ul. Rydla 49 is just finishing. It is planned to open on the first day of school in the 2010/2011 school year.
The city has invited tenders to rebuild another of Szczecin’s promenades. This time it is looking for a contractor to renovate Nabrzeże Piastowskie (Piastowskie Wharf). The deadline for tenders is 8 September of this year.
Today, in the Marshal’s Office, contracts for the purchase of a bus fleet have been concluded. They will provide the Szczecin bus companies with a total amount of PLN 37 million. The money will be allocated to the purchase of other new buses.
